ypes of cuisine and learn the 7 secrets of the Japanese lifestyle. A typical Japanese meal is rice, fish, soup and tea. One of their most famous foods is sushi. This is rice flavored with vinegar and fish. However, sushi is expensive and is usually reserved for special occasions. A more economi
cal option is where the sushi is served on color-coded plates. You simply select the items you want as they pass by. These chefs are experts at their craft making the sushi in seconds. Some of the favorite toppings include salmon tuna eggs vegetables octopus, plus a small cake of rice. The cost
of this meal is based on the color and number of plates, which you select. Japan has an amazing network of hot spring resorts, where millions of Japanese unwind. At many hotels in Japan you can chose the type of room you prefer -- either a Japanese or western style room. The hot springs are stunni
ng. As the steam rises into the air, the soothing mineral waters literally melt away the tensions of daily life. It's especially charming here on this cold winter day. And as you relax, you can enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding forests and gardens. Here women have everything they nee
d to pamper themselves including lotions and soaps for their face, body and hair. We've been given broad access here -- usually men and cameras aren't allowed in the women's bath. The Japanese have refined cooking into an art form - with a wide range of elegantly prepared meals, which are both vis
ually stunning and healthy. Each course is a work of art to be savored both visually and on your taste buds. Our first course is meat pies, with tomato, chili and lettuce. Our chef is preparing some tofu and crab. It's lightly browned and looks delicious. Tofu is made from soybeans and it's rich
in protein and vitamins. This form of cooking is familiar to many of those who visit Japanese restaurants in the United States. Now the ingredients for the main course are laid out before us. Each ingredient, spice or sauce is carefully selected to enhance this dinner experience. Now we'll mix so
me spices into a tasty plum sauce. It looks delicious. Our chef adds the salt, and pepper as he grills the steak. This is a very high quality, lean cut of beef. Now more sauces for our main entrée. There's radish sauce, sweet sauce and soy sauce. Our chef even cut the steak into bit sized port
ions for us - the perfect meal, -- sensational steak with sauces, salad, soup, squash and onions-- a visual delight and a superb meal. The preceding was just a small sample of the DVD. Copyright 2000 - 2004 2005 2006 2007 Analytical Software Inc.

| I had a similar experience. I worked in Japan for eight years. About two years into my residence I began eating a traditional Japanese diet. I went from 223 pounds to 179. I felt wonderful. When I came home and had a medical exam the doctor marvelled at the fact that I was 69 and had "perfect numbers". Not so now!!!!! |
